Karen O + Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross covers Immigrant Song. Not the best audio tho... still cool, and the graphics of the opening title sequence to the film are just great

Wonder if she was the inspiration for this? (Bob Seger and The Last Heard, drummer named Pepe... pretty amazing hearing this set-up from 10 feet away in a church basement or high school gym, but that's what it was in 65-66).
There's a super cool R&B scene happening right now and I've been hearing a lot of great stuff on the radio lately. Feast your ears!
This new record from the musical mind of Cory Henry has a great vibe and the opening track really recalls the golden age of 70s R7B.
Devon GIlfillian, assembled an all star cast in Nashville, to cover Marvin Gaye's What's Goin On in its entirety! This release of the title track is SO great. The original album was recently listed at Rolling Stone's revisited "Top 100 Albums of all time"--at number one!
Leon Bridges takes it even further back in this tune, Coming Home. A guitar player, his musical sensibilities are all over the R&B roadmap.

I have been listening to XRDS.FM (thanks again bsawood) and American Boogie Radio generally but when I set down to do something that requires attention, I have been listening to Enjoy Every Sandwich, the Warren Zevon tribute album. Maybe it's a quarter million dead in the USA alone (so far. "Just like the flu...")
Sorry, don't mean to be too much of a downer, but that is the danger of sucking down too much Woodford Reserve and posting.
